Everything started at the audition of America’s most popular talent show. A contestant named Roopere walked out on stage and told the judges that he was going to perform a magic trick—however, he didn’t bring any props with him. He asked one of the judges to cover her glass of water with a tissue and the very next moment, when she took it off the glass, the water was gone! Roopere performed this trick without touching the glass or even going near it.

This audition was aired on TV a few weeks later, and the very next day the talent show was accused of fraud by the International Association of Magicians. They claimed that the glass trick was impossible to perform in the way it was presented in the audition summary, which meant that either the video had been cut or at least one of the judges were involved in the scam.

Skeptics all over the world were convinced that Roopere was a fraudster, while a small group of people believed that his tricks were actually miracles. And as he continued to perform even more incredible magic in the live shows, week after week, so was the number of his believers growing.
