In a faraway land in days gone by, there once lived a hooded robber. But this was no ordinary thief, for he stole from the rich to give to the poor. To a person in distress, he would gladly give all that he had. Thus began the legend of an outlaw known by the name of Robin Hood. This story takes place during a time called the Middle Ages or Dark Ages, for oppression had descended upon the land of England. While good King Richard was on his Third Crusade, his evil brother Prince John, along with his accomplice the Sheriff of Nottingham, devised an evil scheme to become filthy rich. They taxed the common people beyond their means and then murdered all the lords of the land in an attempt to take over their properties – which included the fair maidens. When it seemed all hope had been lost and the works of evil would win out, the cry of the poor peasants and their starving children was heard. There arose a single person to answer the call for help. His name . . . Robin Hood. Labeled as an outlaw this man soon assembled 140 skilled archers, and thus began the legend of Robin Hood and his Merry Men. Having become a victim of Prince John’s evil plotting, a courageous young boy of nine sought help from his only source of hope, the band of outlaws thought to be residing in Sherwood Forest. Hence set into motion was the tale of how a boy named Robert happened to cross paths with the one they call Robin Hood. Cuentos de Hadas Fantasía Gótico Horror Realeza Robinhood
