Cat and Dougal were minor characters in STANDING STONES, Book 1, which introduced the McDonnell family as they struggled with the Clearances in Scotland. YEARS OF STONE, Book 2, tells the story of Mac McDonnell and his sweetheart, Diedre, after he was transported to prison in a land over the seas, Van Diemen’s Land, Australia. While each book can be read alone, this compelling series immerses the reader into what life was like 150 years ago, when families, often split apart, struggled to shape new lives with few resources.
