Rivers of Money

Atlantic City’s casinos generate a river of cash and that river of cash could become an ocean of cash if only New Jersey had the right kind of governor. But, Jim Whitehead wasn’t that kind of governor. After he was killed in a helicopter crash, Jack English was asked to represent a state trooper also killed in the accident. It should have been a simple liability case but unseen political forces didn’t want English to dig too deeply or look at the facts too closely. That’s why he ended up covered in gasoline, clinging to a beer cooler, twenty miles out in the Atlantic with a storm coming in and a madman trying to set him on fire.
