Mary Donahoe is a high school senior with a secret and a target on her back. The secret she’s been dealing with since she was little. The target was new. Then she met Mariel, a fallen angel stuck in a time-out on earth, who was trying to earn his way back to the angelic realms he fell from.

Their meeting the previous year was the catalyst for setting in motion the testing of humanity. Good versus evil. And that’s when Mary’s previously drama-free life took a sudden and frightening turn. Of course no one bothered explaining the stakes to Mary, or how she ended up in the middle of a cosmic ultimatum. On the other hand, the angelic realm saw fit to provide her an experienced protection detail to keep her alive long enough to do whatever it was she was supposed to be doing.

And now, a year later, just when the evil magnet label seemed to have moved onto another victim, and things were starting to look up in her life, Mary’s summoned, along with her team, to the sacred peak at the top of the cliff trail where she first met her angel friend, Mariel. Good, maybe someone was about to tell her what was going on.

They were a little skimpy on details, but apparently, Mary was the chosen one in charge of saving humanity from its gleeful descent into evil. Mary and her companions were tasked with fighting for the side of good. They would face off against twelve of their kind, fighting for the side of evil. Since the evil twelve had already passed from their earthly incarnations, Mary and her team would be forced to contest against the enemy’s immortal versions.
