I won't say answers because every story is unique. Just like addiction, not one way works for everyone. That is why it is so hard to grasp and understand. But one thing is for sure, ignoring it and pretending it will go away on its own doesn't work.

Each story is written by people who have suffered tremendous loss and others who have overcome all odds.

This book is in 3 parts. The first part is about loss. Stories of how the life of their loved ones was taken way too soon, leaving a hole in their heart and their life.
The 2nd part is about their journey through addiction and coming out on the other side. These stories are the courageous stories of recovery. They have shared a part of the darkest secrets of their life, hoping that it will help someone to seek help or, even more importantly, don't start!
The 3rd part is about the professionals that see this all the time. They share their thoughts and stories of what it is like on their side. Their insights into a different piece of this world.
I hope this book opens up a dialogue between us all to help stop the stigma surrounding addiction and gives us a new respect for the people who help make a difference.
