Delicious romance and I listened in an afternoon. Mary and Antonio ate very a passionate and have good plans to develop their community at the beach and enjoy themselves

Didn't feel the connection

First off, I actually enjoy Jillian Riley's novellas. They are fast listens and generally fun, though of course, since they are short, they are low on character development. This one, which i requested and received, especially, didn't feel complete. Antonio is a developer and Marie is against his plans to develop her small town. I loved that Jillian Riley talked about the impact of the hurricane on nature. That was my favorite part. But Marie was a bit mean and closed off so I had no idea what Antonio saw in her. He was also not well developed as a character but seemed at least really like a good guy. It got better towards the end as they work together but I just didn't see a realistic romantic relationship given her negative behavior initially.

Community coming together to help each other.

Marie lives in a small coastal town in Florida that is trying to rebuild after a devastating hurricane. Antonio is a land developer with morality. When numerous, ruthless developers converge on the town to buy the land, Marie and Antonio join forces to save their way of life. I love that when Antonio first met her Great Dane, Cesar, they became fast friends. This is such a feel good story, I suggest it if you're looking for a good light romance.

Great read and loved it highly recommend this audiobook. Narrator did a fantastic job also.

I love when a plan comes together and ends with a HEA. Worth the time spent.

Working to save a way of life!

I asked to receive this free review Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. This is a story of a small town trying to recuperate after a devastating hurricane. Maria is trying to save the the small time feeling of her community as residents try to find the money to rebuild. With so many facing financial ruin, this becomes harder than Maria thought. I like how Maria must rethink her tactics. Antonio changes his tactics too as he begins to fall in love. Can these two strangers that are on opposite sides of the fence finally break down the barriers and work together to save the town? The narrator did a great job of bringing the story to life and capturing the emotions of these characters. I recommend this Audible book.

Good book

Another winner for Jillian Riley. The book is based on the aftermath of the hurricane ravish town. Townspeople are having a hard time to rebuild their homes and businesses. So are getting out and selling to anyone! Maria is determined to stay and fight for her town. Romance blossoms between Maria and stranger, Will it works or is he just another shark waiting to strike!

Antonio and Marie

I liked this story. Marie wanted to start a new life outside of LA so she decides to move to FL. She fell in live with the town and the people were like family. When developers come to threaten to buy it out, they try to come together. When developer Antonio Flores comes to town, he’s here to help buy she doesn’t see it that way. Overall, I loved it! HEA guaranteed.

Sweet Small Town Love

This is a sweet story, it had me laughing and crying.
Standalone with no cliffhangers.
Heather did a great job reading.
