Megelle Island is full of supernatural creatures. I came here a few years ago to be among my own kind, to not worry that I’d accidentally shift into a raccoon or turn invisible in front of some poor human. My clumsiness was going to expose us all to the public and get me into big trouble with the angels.

I knew there weren’t many of us in existence but none was a whole lot less than expected. That left me the third wheel of the entire island. I thought things couldn’t get any worse and then my clumsiness claimed Prince Mateo Vauntero as its newest victim. Just when I think the King and Queen are going to lock me into a prison for the rest of my life, fate paints a different picture. My happily ever after is on the horizon, just within my reach…
