This book shows the power of resilience

This book is a great story of resilience. The character development is great throughout and if you’ve ever faced any adversity in your life, you’ll definitely be able to relate to this book.

Trully realistic!

Intense, emotional, and uncomfortably realistic. What hit hardest wasn’t the custody fight itself, but the slow-creep pressure from “concerned” relatives turning everyday parenting into evidence. The tension builds like a courtroom drama inside a living room. It’s a strong listen about boundaries, loyalty, and choosing peace over blood ties.

What a mess, sound like a lot of things my married friends are dealing with right now. i am glad I am not yet marry but I might have no choice but to jump on the bandwagon. Such a fun read and when life hit you hard.

A rollercoaster of feelings

I went from feeling incredibly happy for the Johnsons at the start of the book to feeling absolutely devastated for them as the custody battle began to take its toll. Ryan is the kind of character that you just want to shout at because his motivations feel so misplaced compared to the genuine love Leah and Chris have for Louise. It’s a very intense and emotional journey that really highlights the resilience required to keep a family whole when the world is trying to pull it apart.

This book has strong characters with a deep plot and storyline, as the Johnsons struggle to keep their family together, which they have spent years building, because a biological father wants custody of his child. The challenges beyond the family walls make the Johnsons rethink their family bond and how to move forward amid today's challenges.
