Loved this book! now starting book three in series. can't wait to hear next stage in the lives of this family!

Wonderful book!

My husband and I rarely enjoy the same books, but this kept us both interested. We listened to it on a road trip and didn't quite finish before returning home. We wanted to keep driving just to hear the ending!

The most heartwarming story of family love, forgiveness and acceptance!

Thank you, Ms Grainger, for writing about the most precious things in life, love, friendship, forgiveness, loyalty, FAMILY! I didn’t want it to end.

Never a dull moment!

I enjoyed the first book, and this one was even more exciting. Time flew by when I listened this book!

Loved this sequel and now very much looking forward to continuing on with Part Three!

Enjoying this series

This reader does a great job even with the accents and men's voices.
I like the story line, though there were a couple of inconsistencies from the 1st book. And I do find it odd when a situation is brought up and the character thinks something about it and then the next paragraph the situation is resolved and we never heard about it.
The characters and plot are both really engaging.

Not my usual type of book but I loved this

This was a wonderful book. The narrator has a gentle Irish lilt and is perfect for this story. The characters are delightful and you grow to love them even more in this story. You even fall in love with the "less delightful" people in the community and family. There is no "bodice ripping" which is great. I even felt some sympathy for the IRA and yes even a reformed Nazi! Excellent saga. I am so glad that I listened to it.

Just the right story for a COVID winter. A happily ever after for all. And the reader!

Loved it! Again!

Delightful. Love the characters. Love the story. Love Ireland! Things are working out splendidly for everyone -- I hope. Guess I need to wait and see what book 3 brings me? The narration was excellent as usual. Thank you Ms. Grainger. I'm enjoying myself immensely.

Jean Grainger is a Favorite Author ✍️

I’m a big fan of historical fiction and particularly WWII novels. Jean Grainger is a fun escape from the heaviness of WWII novels. I have enjoyed the frivolity of her Irish characters and their stories. Little did I realize that this series would be more serious and include just enough of WWII stories to make the series work. Imagine my happiness to have Jean Grainger writing about the war. This is my favorite series of all of her books. She has a gift for knowing how to write just enough of the war without getting too heavy. This book, in particular, was my favorite so far of all of her books. Mrs. Grainger, you are a wonder. I have spent many hours with your characters, and though I enjoyed them all, I feel grateful that you tackled this rich story. Thank you! 🙏
