Resumen del Editor

In times of crisis, we are forced to re-examine our ways and ponder our future. It is in this framework that we need to consider our present economic plight and the charting of our path forward.

In his penetrating analysis of contemporary society, author John Horvat focuses on the present crisis with great insight and clarity. He claims the modern economy has become cold, impersonal, and out of balance. Gone are the human elements of honor and trust so essential to our daily lives. Society has discarded the natural restraining influence of human institutions and values that should temper our economic activities.

Return to Order is a clarion call that invites us to reconnect with those institutions and values by applying the timeless principles of an organic Christian order. Horvat presents a refreshing picture of this order that is wonderfully adapted to our human nature. He describes the calming influence of those natural regulating institutions such as custom, family, community, the Christian state, and the Church.

A return to order is not only possible, but crucial. Horvat shows us how to make it happen.

Based on nearly 20 years of ground-breaking research, this book is being recognized as one of the most important and influential on the subject to be published in the past 10 years. Its original insight into both the present crisis and remedies for the future thrust Return to Order into the center of the raging debate over how to restore America's prominence as a proud and great nation.

Listen to this dramatic approach to restore America and join the debate about America's Return to Order.

A guide to navigate the Crisis.

Where does Return to Order rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Very compelling, insightful, and though provoking.

What does Dude Walker bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Dude was easy to listen to, I was able to focus on the topics without any distraction by his voice over.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

The book provided topics that required deep thought and reflection, worthy of a great book. So one sitting even though compelling would not be enough.

Any additional comments?

Fantastic Audio book! Well read, my first audio book in years, I listen to it on the way to work and in the gym.
Return to Order captures the grave situation of our society in economic crisis. Mr. Horvat very keenly observes and points out, that our nation has lost it's ability to see clearly due to a Frenetic Intemperance.
Our Nation having lost it's moral compass, is like a ship in shallow waters, seeing the jagged rocks ahead, yet goes full steam into them.
While some choose to close their eyes or suggest radical pseudo-socialistic options to these rocks, Mr. Horvat reminds us of the organic way this nation was founded, based on Christian principles. These Christian principles helped our Founding Fathers navigate those jagged rocks. Under the banner "In God We Trust", our Founding Fathers established principles and morals forged by a way of the cross society. Return to Order re-awakens in the soul of the reader this very sentiment.

Great recording for a thought-provoking topic

Would you consider the audio edition of Return to Order to be better than the print version?

I found that the audio recording was the perfect voice and speed. Some of the concepts are very thought-provoking, and I was able to grasp the points being made - like the principle of subsidiarity - with one pass through the audio.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The part I liked best about the book is Mr. Horvat's vision of an organic Christian society. He outlines principles that anyone can start applying to their life immediately.

Which scene was your favorite?

One of the aspects of this organic christian society is the idea of locally produced products from small businesses that are family run. I went to a Christmas Market in the local area and could not help but think of how unbeknownst to the merchants, they were living out the true spirit of an organic christian society.

lots of half truths and mis-representations

lots of half truths and mis-representations as well as some outright lies. It was entertaining because everyone knows feudalism was a Christian fish fry.
