Satisfying romance!

A very nicely done remake of Sabrina with a twist, it's main characters are m/m. It was so sweet and romantic and highly satisfying. Definitely recommend.

Also, I really love Greg Tremblay as narrator, he is phenomenal.

An interesting story

I don't know if im wording this review correctly but i am going to try. first it was an interesting title . totally one i would have looked over. i did enjoy the book once it got started. i like the twist with thr brothers .I think overall it was an interesting story. i love food so i was hanging on . great job

Another fun story from Tara Lain

Cute story. Very much like Sabrina the movie.
No murders. No gruesome events.
Greg Tremblay narrates exceptionally well.

Tug of war meets love triangle

Who says you can't go back home? You can, but you might find yourself seeing things differently. When Luca returns to his childhood home with an exciting new job, the last thing he expects is for the guy he's crushed on since he was a teenager to possibly feel the same way. But things aren't as they seem. What if you were handed the one thing you always thought you wanted on a silver platter? Only to realize, it's not at all what it seemed.

What Lain has done here is taken one of the best chick flicks ever, Sabrina, flipped it upside down and made it her own. I loved the dialogue between the three men; Luca, Dylan and James; and the way they all had a different kind of relationship. The story flowed well from start to finish and kept my attention throughout.

Narrated by Greg Tremblay and he did a great job distinguishing the different characters with tones and voices that gave them each their own distinct personality. I have to say, Dylan was probably my favorite. The way his was written, his personality and presence within the story really stood out to me.

If you're a fan of the Author or the Narrator then this title is probably already in your library or your wish list. I think fans of fun, quirky, "which way do I go?!" romances will enjoy this book as well.

Love love love it

A sweet romantic story of leaving your childhood fairy tale to open your eyes to the world and the beauty that is waiting for you. The love Luca has period is breath taking but to see how he feels about people and his passion is wonderful. Also his knight in shining armor Dillion is no slouch in the take your breath away department. I hope we get a sequel to know how the story goes.

Sabrina remake with three hot men – audio review

Some books just hit the perfect note and Tara Lain’s Return of the Chauffeur’s Son is that book. I was never a huge fan of the movie Sabrina, but this remake is creative, imaginative, and just plain fun.

Luca is the chauffeur’s son, recently returned from a prestigious position in a restaurant, who has come home to Napa to be close to his dad, take a new job, and see if his boyhood crush on James Armstrong is still as fierce as ever.

Always treated respectfully by the Armstrong family, Luca grew up close to the younger son. Only when he returns does he discover his crush and friend is engaged to a very nice woman. Disappointed, although not as much as he thought he would be, Luca throws himself into this new job at Culinary Arts. All the local restaurants partake in an annual cooking competition and Luca’s new employer has lost several times to its archrival. So all hopes and pressure are put on Luca to win the prize.

No pressure, right?

Except there are rumours of spies everywhere. Oh, and James has decided he’s bisexual and puts Luca in his sights, despite his sweet fiancée.

Chaos, right?

Could be, except for Dylan, the eldest son in the Armstrong family. He is openly gay – not experimenting – and he sees James callously hurting everyone around him. He is focused on growing the family business, but keeps a close eye on his younger brother and tries to head off trouble at the pass.

I love the trope of a pseudo-love triangle. Because although Luca has always had a crush on James, Dylan is now on his radar. There is also a lot of love in the Armstrong family and that includes Luca and his father. Proof that not everyone views social class as everything.

The ending is predictable, of course, but I love the dénouement. Like I said, another Tara Lain hit. Low angst, lots of laughter, and most of all, a world where men are loved for who they are and not who they are attracted to. Or who they eventually fall in love with.

Greg Tremblay is one of my favourite narrators and he did a great job. This is a great listen.

I cried because it was pure

I could not stop listening and I cried because it was so gushy. not heavy on sex but an amazing build up story

Excellently Combined Effort

Really loved it from the beginning to the end! And Audible made the experience as close to a Broadway play as possible. (Hint, hint)
