Why don't Christians in the church today keep the biblical sabbath? Was the observance of the seventh-day sabbath done away with, canceled, changed, replaced, fulfilled, made obsolete, suppressed, hijacked, or simply forgotten? Even if you already know the answers, you'll want to listen to this book. From Sabbath to Sabbath approaches the question of the sabbath from a completely new messianic Jewish perspective.

Historians, scholars, and theologians agree that first-century Christianity was a sect of Judaism, but where does that information place first-century Gentile Christians? What did it mean to be a Gentile who practiced Judaism in the days of the apostles? These are not just academic questions; they are at the heart of today's growing Messianic Jewish movement. How do non-Jews engage in the modern Messianic Jewish revival?

Yeshua Matters is the story of a pastor who discovers that Jesus Christ was not just a Jewish person, but a practicing Jew, a teacher of Judaism - a rabbi, known during his earthly ministry as Rabbi Yeshua of Nazareth. Yet despite this emerging scholarly consensus, Jesus has lost his Jewishness in the collective heart and mind of the church. We simply don't imagine, interpret, or follow him as a part of the broader tapestry of Jewish life and history.

Prayer is simply talking with God. Nonetheless, the grown men who followed Jesus felt as if they had something yet to learn. As true disciples, they wanted to pray just as their Rabbi did. In ancient Judaism, disciples sought not only to learn their master's teachings and interpretations; they endeavored to imitate their rabbi in every detail. Rabbi Yeshua taught, A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher (Luke 6:40). What does prayer look like in a Jewish context? How did Jesus pray?

What can the call to discipleship, the adherence to the word of Jesus, mean today to the businessman, the soldier, the laborer, or the aristocrat? What did Jesus mean to say to us? What is his will for us today? Drawing on the Sermon on the Mount, Dietrich Bonhoeffer answers these timeless questions by providing a seminal reading of the dichotomy between "cheap grace" and "costly grace."

In his latest book, Angels, Dr. Heiser reveals what the Bible really says about God's supernatural servants. Heiser focuses on loyal, holy heavenly beings because the Bible has a lot more to say about them than most people suspect. Most people presume all there is to know about angels is what has been passed on in Christian tradition, but in reality, that tradition is quite incomplete and often inaccurate. Angels is not guided by traditions, stories, speculations, or myths about angels.

Mideast Beast completes and establishes the revolutionary argument introduced in Joel Richardson's New York Times bestselling Islamic Antichrist, namely that the Antichrist will be a Muslim, whose empire will arise out of the Middle East. Whereas most students of the Bible have long held that some form of humanism or universalist religion would catapult the Antichrist to world power, Mideast Beast: The Scriptural Case for an Islamic Antichrist systematically proves from that the long awaited system of the Antichrist is even now before us and knocking at our door.

The link between the religion of biblical Israel and the religion we now identify as rabbinic Judaism is often controversial. The controversy is often linked to theological agendas rather than an honest approach to Israel’s history. The religion of ancient Israel is linked to rabbinic Judaism is many ways. The two are linked by a shared belief in the one supreme God who created the world, chose the the Jewish people to be His people.

Despite significant improvement in interfaith dialogue in some quarters between Christians and Jews, many Christians still maintain theological positions that are inimical to fundamental Jewish beliefs, and consequently, to the Jewish people. The essential perspective that sets the tone for Christian attitudes toward Jews and Judaism is their theological view of the Torah.

The Epistle of James says that anyone who considers him - or herself to be religious yet does not tame his tongue is self deceived. James says that such a person's religion is worthless. On the other hand, James refers to the person who tames his or her tongue as a perfect person. That's a stark contrast. There's a big difference between being a self-deceived person engaging in worthless religious practice, and being perfect or complete. If we take these words of the Bible seriously, we need to start taking our own words far more seriously then we normally do.

As Adolf Hitler and the Nazis seduced a nation, bullied a continent, and attempted to exterminate the Jews of Europe, a small number of dissidents and saboteurs worked to dismantle the Third Reich from the inside. One of these was Dietrich Bonhoeffer. In the first major biography of Bonhoeffer in 40 years, New York Times best-selling author Eric Metaxas takes both strands of Bonhoeffer's life - the theologian and the spy - to tell a searing story of incredible moral courage in the face of monstrous evil.

This is a book about how God's instructions in the Bible can make a man's marriage better. Before getting married, most men think that marriage will be easy. The man assumes that if he finds the right woman, he will be an excellent husband. She will love him; he will love her.

Resumen del Editor
Biblical Christianity was originally a sect of Judaism that believed in Jesus and revered the Torah as the core of the scriptures. Restoration is a riveting argument for a return to that original biblical expression of faith in Jesus. Discover for yourself the profound beauty of Torah life, the celebration of the biblical Sabbath, and the application of God's holy feast days. Your eyes will be opened to another dimension of the faith that is beginning to reemerge among Christians worldwide. Lancaster answers common theological objections to the Torah, while demonstrating that Christians are already keeping more of God's Law than they realize. This thought provoking, theological boat-rocker is a fun-to-listen-to, inspiring journey into the world of the Bible.

The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

An attenuated and unbiblical “faith” based on what Bonhoeffer called “cheap grace” has sapped the spiritual vitality of millions of Americans. Paying lip service to an insipid “evangelism,” they shrink from combating the evils of our time. Metaxas refutes the pernicious lie that fighting evil politicizes Christianity.

Historia
The Qur'an, believed by Muslims to be the word of God, was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad 1,400 years ago. It is the supreme authority in Islam and the living source of all Islamic teaching; it is a sacred text and a book of guidance that sets out the creed, rituals, ethics, and laws of the Islamic religion. It has been one of the most influential books in the history of literature. Recognized as the greatest literary masterpiece in Arabic, it has nevertheless remained difficult to understand in its English translations.

The secret to happiness is to acknowledge and transform suffering, not to run away from it. Here, Thich Nhat Hanh offers practices and inspiration transforming suffering and finding true joy. Thich Nhat Hanh acknowledges that because suffering can feel so bad, we try to run away from it or cover it up by consuming. We find something to eat or turn on the television. But unless we’re able to face our suffering, we can’t be present and available to life, and happiness will continue to elude us.

Prophetic
I like the way it included gentiles and Jews as one under God no different from each other and how the Bible states that we should all be celebrating worship on Saturday and all the feast and festivals the Bible was not just for the Jews it was for everyone amen shalom

Captivating Insights Into What The Church Has Lost
Would you consider the audio edition of Restoration to be better than the print version?
Yes - It's great to hear it read in the author's own voice!
Have you listened to any of D. Thomas Lancaster’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I've listened to D.T. Lancaster's teachings for many years. This is consistent and delivered with the same quality as everything else he has produced.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I particularly appreciated hearing the author's own journey of discovery that he articulates so well.
Any additional comments?
This book usually elicits a strong response from those who read it. You will either say, "Yes! This is what I've been missing in my faith!" or you will say, "I just can't swallow this." The concepts presented in Restoration are delivered in a simple, casual, but well articulated manner, yet they are profound truths that speak to the core of what it means to be a follower of Jesus, the Messiah of Israel. D.T. Lancaster works to do exactly as the title suggests, and restore the Torah to disciples of Jesus. I can't recommend this book highly enough.

Loved this book
This information make a lot of sense. I’ve always felt that the Catholic Church (the Bala God worshipers) changed a lot of things in taking the Jewishness out of our worship. So happy to see the truth being revealed in these last days. Shalom

Excellent! powerful, must-read for every believer
Would you consider the audio edition of Restoration to be better than the print version?
I really enjoyed the audio version of this book and definitely enjoyed this new tenth anniversary edition more than previous editions because the material is significantly expanded.
Who was your favorite character and why?
n/a
Which character – as performed by D. Thomas Lancaster – was your favorite?
n/a
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
The things I have learned from this book, and other teaching materials by D. Thomas Lancaster, have enriched and strengthened my faith tremendously. My love for Messiah has grown so much deeper, and my life has been transformed for the better. Lancaster has a great way of taking complex concepts and breaking them down into ways that are easy to understand, while at the same time, surprising you with new understandings and insights you feel amazed you never saw before, even if you've read your Bible for years!
I really value the intellectual honesty Lancaster maintains throughout his teaching material. His scriptural and historical knowledge is enlightening. He truly is an amazing teacher!
Any additional comments?
I personally view this book with similar importance as C.S Lewis classic religious work "Mere Christianity". In that book, C.S. Lewis looked past the boundaries that divide Christianity's many denominations and presented fresh perspectives on the Christian faith with simple, powerfully rational logic. Similarly, in "Restoration", Lancaster looks past the traditional boundaries that divide Christianity and Torah observant Judaism (the faith Jesus lived out) and presents fresh perspectives on the Christian faith with simple, powerfully rational logic. The hidden beauty is that both authors use rational logic to effectively move hearts and minds, and bring people into closer relationship with God.
Regardless if you agree or disagree with Lancaster's theological convictions, he will challenge you and give you fresh perspectives on the Christian faith and the Torah. Highly recommend.

Thought Provoking Book!
I have listened to this book more times than I can count. This book challenged my thinking and opened my eyes to the truth in God's word. As a result, I have a stronger desire to seek after God and follow His ways than ever before. To me, he was clear on what he believes Scripture says and made some good arguments. I was in no way confused on his position and stance. The recording was good as well. I would highly recommend it.

Really Bad
What would have made Restoration better?
Not being a rambling self serving opinion piece. I hate it when I read things that are based on a premise that every one else had it wrong throughout history except "the author" whose opinion has to be the only thing standing at the end of the day. The book took a long time to get going because the author was trying unsuccessfully to create his "bona fides" by giving his own personal family history.
Would you ever listen to anything by D. Thomas Lancaster again?
NO NO NO
How could the performance have been better?
He was a pretty good presenter - it was the material that was bad.
What character would you cut from Restoration?
The author
Any additional comments?
I was trying to tolerate this light weight tome till he turned anti Catholic and anti-Christian - I fundamentally agree with the necessity to tie the Torah with Christian practice - but how ??? if the author was genuine, he could have tied this in with specifics without trying to build the premise on his ego and his self serving negativity,
