Poppy can’t seem to get rid of her demons, figuratively and literally. Between battling with Brendan, who insists their relationship should move faster, and falling ill, she worries about her safety as crawling shadows threaten her. Brendan writes it off as delusions, until an attack leaves him out of commission. Poppy and her new, intuitive roommate, Becca, are determined to discover what is coming for her, not believing for a moment it could be Seribulous. But something goes terribly wrong, and Poppy finds herself in a place between Earth and Hell – the Dark Web. Richard and Catherine rush to find answers and save their daughter, both battling demons of their own. Richard is haunted by his past, and a dark secret he divulges at his wife’s insistence only drives a larger wedge between them. Confirming the worst, Richard finds he can’t outrun the nightmares and decides to face them head-on, even if it means sacrificing himself to save his daughter. On a mission to Hell to retrieve the only tool that will save his family and win the fight against evil, he leaves his wife and daughter to fend for themselves in a dark place that steals strength and corrupts the mind. If Richard can’t climb back out of Hell, and if Poppy, Catherine, and Becca can’t find the strength to hold on until his return, all is lost, including Brendan, left alone in the human realm. The darkness is deceiving, and Poppy has to decide what reality to believe and what she’s willing to lose to stay alive
