Fun and Hot Office Romance

Performance:
I loved this audible. Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott do a wonderful job. Wen’s deep voice is perfect for Wade’s personality. Some of the comedic timing was so on point I found myself laughing out loud. They also play well off each other. I have listened to this duo before and they don’t disappoint.
Story:
I love a good office romance! Wade is the definition of a standoffish loner of a lovable (and hot) grump. I was constantly laughing internally at how hard he tried to be unlikeable and act uncaring and yet all I saw was his heart. To be fair I have been crushing on Wade for most of the Mason Family series so there is no doubt I am bias and I am not sorry. I also really responded to Dara. She is such a spitfire and a nice twist on the sun to the heroes grump. I loved this couple and their chemistry from the first to the last page.
In addition, Adriana Locke once again showcases her incredible ability to write a standalone about a couple with the added bonus of a family dynamic that feels so real that its impossible to not get swept away by it all. It creates a story that feels complete, whole, and true to an idyllic family/romance without it being too perfect or too unattainable that we can't hope for it in our own lives.
There are ups and downs (no spoilers here, you got to read it) but overall I found this an easy and enjoyable read. I can't wait to experience it again once the audible is out.

Irresistible 'opposites attract' romance!

I loved this irresistible 'opposites attract' romance! Wade is the grumpy, mercurial Mason brother who works hard, and grumbles when his family comes around, but secretly loves it. When they ask him to take on a new client, he resists, giving in only because he knows it's important to them. He is surprised when a woman from college is the person he will be working with. Dara is the complete opposite from him. She is sweet, spirited and fun. Neither of them are emotionally available, but they challenge each other, and their word play is their foreplay. The more time they spend together, the more they can't get enough of each other. But can they help each other break down the walls they have built to protect themselves? I loved Wade and Dara together. They were so opposite yet so much alike with their love of family, creative nature, and their chemistry was explosive! There were so many hilarious moments that made me laugh out loud. The poignant moments were so heartfelt and honest and added a depth that kept me turning the pages. It was so fun catching up with the whole Mason family who are all essential to this story. Their fun sibling banter and unconditional love and support made this story even more emotional, heartwarming, and fun! I really loved the ending of this story, that had me in tears of joy!
I always enjoy listening to Wen Ross. and Kai Kennicott's narrations. Their duet narration is so smooth and their chemistry makes this story even more steamy and delightful.
This last Mason brother book in the Mason Family series made me laugh, cry, and feel every emotion in-between, and I loved every word of it.

I Love Wade Mason!

I have completely fallen in love with Wade! This story in the Masons Series we have all been waiting for. Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott tell this amazing story that give you all the feels for Wade and Dara! This is an amazing love story of opposites attract. This is a must to add to your library!

Fantastic grumpy hero book

This was a great story with refreshingly different types of characters. Wade is a very different type of hero. He is grumpy, doesn’t get emotional and likes to have control in his world, but there is something sweet that hovers underneath that you can catch glimpses every so often. He is also an introvert, which I typically do not see in hero. Dara is trying to find her way after her mother has passed away. She is a strong heroine, but has a vulnerability that is just underneath her shield. I enjoyed Wade and Dara’s relationship of challenging each other and watching them grow closer (much to Wade’s dismay). For Adriana Locke fans, there are several Easter eggs in this story, especially since this book contains Holt and Blaire’s wedding. There is also a twist in the end with some of her other characters. (If you are new to Adriana or this series, don’t worry - this is a complete standalone).

Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott are two of my favorite narrators. I really enjoyed this book when I initially read it, but the narration added so much to the story that it made me like it even more.
