A gripping story of how TMAR started

TMAR holds a special place in my heart. I have followed and volunteered tor years. This book helps you understand the beginnings and some of its evolution. It helps you understand the community they serve and you hear the stories of many animals from the beginning. You can feel the dedication and passion that Keith Benning and his crew of volunteers have for animal rescue. This book takes you from operating out of a house to the garage and shows the growth of the rescue over the first years. I cried at the wins of lives saved and the losses of those that we were too late for or didn’t have room for. This book is well narrated and you can enjoy this story while you’re cleaning your house, out for a walk or driving. Come along with TMAR and get pulled into our story. There’s so much more to come!

True Story About Animal Rescue

Loved it! True account of an animal rescue in ND that started in a garage.

Love the story of this wonderful group.

An emotional roller coaster depicting the reality of rescue. I follow them on FB and look forward to the nightly live videos.
My only disappointment is the AI narration. This is the ONLY virtual voice book I have ever listened to and only because of TMAR. If they reissue with a person reading then I will definately purchase again. I'm hoping a sequel is in the works.

Heartwarming and heartbreaking

I’ve been a long time follower and supporter of TMAR and other similar rescue organizations, but this story opened my eyes to the big picture. I urge you to listen as this needs all the attention it can get.

It’s a task that seems impossible, but Keith is somehow managing to change the landscape of dogs/animals in desperate need of saving. The stories within the book will break your heart, but it’s heartwarming to hear of all the daily efforts put towards saving innocent sweet souls. Keith is a force and a true angel among us. Wow that man is something else.

I wish this book wasn’t narrated by AI. It takes some of the intensity and grit away, but the story is so strong it doesn’t matter who narrates it. It just threw me off a bit.

This is one of my all time fav books and I was so excited to see it’s now an audiobook! I was suprised how good it was for being AI narration. As a full time house keeper I listen to a ton of audiobooks. This was the best AI narration I’ve heard and actually better than some audiobooks read by humans. Full cast of voices too! I’ve read this book 3 times but I still learn something new and am reminded why rescue matters. CJ is the reason I am proud to own a TMAR pup of my own. Thank you CJ for telling such an important story and inspiring me to be on the right side of history. 🩷

Eye-opening description of the realities of animal rescue.

Although heartbreaking, I am so thankful to hear these firsthand accounts of animal rescue. This story truly inspires change and action.

Very accurate to what running a rescue is like

As a North Texas rescuer this was a very satisfying lesson. Not just heartfelt wins but the big losses. I appreciated them talking about the struggles of running social media, fundraising, & having caregiver burnout.
I didn’t love the AI voice but it didn’t take away from the story,
