I was lucky enough to get to have lunch with Gregory and Jayne while in San Antonio. It was so much fun meeting him in person (I’ve been privileged enough to meet Jayne multiple times and she is awesome.) and he was such a sweetie. I shared some thoughts with him after listening to him narrate Nice and Naughty and he read some snippets to a group of us. He was such a doll to read anything we put in front of him. lol Anyway I can totally tell that he listened to the feedback! He is much less mechanical this time around. Most of that was due to his precise enunciation of each word. I can tell he relaxed a bit more into it and it sounded great!

Ok now for the book. It’s pretty well documented that I love Jayne’s work and Report For Booty is no exception. The military always touches my heart and to have a military veteran and Wounded Warriors be a part of the book made me feel all mushy inside. I love the tattoo aspect of the story as well. I would have liked Chavon to fight a bit more when Burke found her but she was feisty enough to even it out. There isn’t a huge cast of characters but they each stood out so much it was a quick fun book to listen to. Check it out now!

Smexy Little Read

This is the first book in the anthology Midnight Ink, it does a great job of setting up the tattoo shop that is the location for the stories. I am betting at least three of the supporting charterers in this story will get their HEA in the other tales.

I really like Chavon and Burke, they are engaging characters who make you root for them. You enter the story with their romance already in progress, and yup they break up. Three years later we find them both in the same city, sigh, I dig a nice reunited lovers theme. The re-meet is kinda sweet. I loved the way they were set up by friends. My favorite thing is Chavon's reaction! Perfection!!

Yummy steamy action!!! Oh yeah, these two are seriously hot and heavy!! They get back into the sack quickly, but they have both been thinking about the other all this time. The smexy stuff has a rough undertone, sigh, pull the hair, slap the butt! Have the cold shower ready!!

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Gregory Salinas, delicious as always!! He has a great voice that is just rough and gruff enough to set panties on fire!! He does wonders for Shep, yup I can not wait for him to record his book!! Great pace adds energy to the read, oh boy, does it add energy to the smexy stuff!! The man gives good voice!

Overall it is a really enjoyable little read, the fact it is so short is my only real complaint. You get a sense of the characters but do not get to spend a great deal of time with them. I always want a good story to be longer. There is so much story left untold. I think I need to read the rest of the anthology to see how the others fair and if these two pop up again.

Excellent Audiobook

This was the first audiobook that I have ever listened to, and I was not disappointed! I thought that I would not enjoy hearing a book read aloud versus reading the book itself BUT I was so wrong.

First, Gregory Salinas does a great job of bringing life to the characters. The dialogue sections actually felt like real life conversations, and it was easy for me to get involved in the story. I also appreciated that his voices for the female characters were not over the top and shrilly--all of the characters voices sounded natural. AND the male character voices were extremely sexy- as another reviewer mentioned, I'll be excited to hear more from Shep!

The storyline was excellent as well. I love a good story with some steamy scenes and a good ending for the characters- I don't want to give too much away! I enjoyed all of the detail included in the story. The story was short, but that was perfect for me--I was able to listen to the whole story while getting some work done. I will be checking out more of Jayne Rylon's books very soon.

This was a fun first audiobook, and I will definitely be purchasing more books from this author AND this narrator.

yeah for true love

this book was so good. I loved it. it was short but so full of sweetness. Jayne Rylon knows how to write about love thats a given. she is a one buy click for me.

Yuck, sorry but this is not for me.

I am so sorry but after listening to this for 8 minutes I just couldn't take any more. The narration is so bad it started to drive me crazy. This narrator "Gregory Salinas" sounds like a robot. His voice is not unpleasant but dang I would rather listen to Alexa reading a book to me.
I couldn't tell if I was going to like the story or not, but I didn't like the first 8 minutes, so maybe not.
