fun fantasy novella with a captivating narrator!

This novella is the first of the series that I've read (listened to), and I really enjoyed it! I was able to fully understand the story without having read the first book of the series. It was well written with a variety of fun characters, magic, and adventure. Listening to this definitely made me intrigued to read the rest of the series. The narrator was so fun to listen to. He made each of the characters sound unique, so it was never difficult to know who was speaking. He personifies each character so well! If you like listening to a narrator who portrays a story with emotion, you'll like listening to this one!

Overall a really fun and short read/listen if you're into fantasy.
