For five years, Cassie Reeser has been her brother's personal lab rat. Peter's experiments have made her a stronger, faster, better human. Seth Adams is used to sifting through lies to find the truth. As a former war correspondent he knows what evils lurk in the world. When he finds Cassie hiding out in his car trunk, her story sounds like a fantastical dream. But, before long, he witnesses firsthand what she's talking about when they're attacked by a group of Peter's soldiers. As a result, he goes through his own transformation into a super human and realizes the extent of what Cassie is running from. Cassie might not think she needs his protection, but he'll die before he lets her brother have her back.

Steamy Sci-fi
A really interesting little read. I picked this one up on sale at Audible and am not sorry at all!
Really engaging story that had many twists and turns. Great characters,with a dynamic and fast paced plotline. I really wished there were more. It was way too short! This one will leave you hanging and ready for the next book.
Steamy as all get out!!! Some really yummy hot and heavy action!
The narrator Robin Dane is terrific. I have not listened to many steamy books with a male narrator, but it was a really nice reading. I would be interested in finding more books read by him.

Not For Me
I have no clue how this book ended up in my library - I don’t like short stories nor adult/borderline erotic lit.
I can’t judge the book for not being something I could really hope to enjoy when I made the mistake of purchasing it!
So I’ve given it an average score because for what it was, I think it was competent.
If you like short adult fic, this might be for you.
