Each life is tethered to others, tendrils wrapping through time itself . . . drawing people to each other . . .

In 1815, Timothy, Viscount Linwood—handsome, arrogant, privileged—never veers from the refined rules of his world. Cheerfulness and other unsavory emotions are for lesser persons. Anything that smacks of trade is to be shunned. Honor and pride above all else. Consequently, when he discovers his estates are bankrupt, he decides to woo and marry an heiress post-haste. After all, love is for lesser-mortals. But Fate intervenes and draws him to a vibrant woman who makes him want things he can never have. Can a pompous lord change enough to find redemption?

In 2015, Jasmine Fleury just wants her happily-ever-after. If only she could stop losing people instead—her grandmother, boyfriends . . . and now her entire family. Worse, she finds herself babysitting a haughty nineteenth century lord who can't even shave himself. What grown man can't shave himself? She has no interest in playing damsel-in-shining-armor to his knight-in-distress. But Fate has other plans . . .

As with my other reviews of books in this series, this is one of my favorite series! I found these books in 2016, first borrowing them and then buying the physical books, electronic and audio versions. The whole series is great but this book is my favorite. Very witty and clever with wonderful characters. The narration is great too.

My favorite of the series

I’m in love with this series, and have been listening voraciously for the last week. So grateful to have found these books ❤️

SOOO GOOD!

I would have never guessed that Lord Winwood would get his own story, not after what he did in the first few books. It seemed he had no character and no chance of being appealing, especially to Emmy’s friend Jasmine. They say opposites attract, but they never met Nichole Van. She says they complete each other. You say how? Call her bluff, read this book!

How did she make Lord Linwood awesome???

This is the 4th book in the series. I admit I skipped over the 3rd when I read the preview for this one. It has it all: Romance, Regency, Time Travel, History, Heartbreak & a wonderfully happily ever after ending. It was unexpectedly funny & found myself laughing out loud, which gives credit to the narrator performance too.
I wasn’t initially thrilled with the narrator when I finished the 1st book in the series. But she did a great job in personifying the main character in this boo…her comedic performance was spot on.

Probably the best book in the series
