Red Hawk

Believing her daughter dead, her mother unknowingly leaves Hazel behind with a band of Western Abenaki Indians in New France. Here she must overcome the prejudice bought on by her appearance and lack of status within the tribe. When a battlefield report reaches her father signaling her possible survival, he sets off on a quest to find and reunite with his daughter. When confronted with the stark reality of a new world, she must decide between leaving her adopted people, or returning to England with those of her bloodline.
