Another hit in this series! Thea is slammed in the middle of another murder and must help her innocent friend. And we get more information on her family! I love how that mystery is unraveling! Fantastic narration.

Cozy

Red Beans and Rituals by Jen Pitts is a wonderful paranormal mystery. Meghan Kelly did an incredible job with the narration. The story is entertaining, interesting, cozy, suspenseful, enjoyable, fun, engaging, and more. Red Beans and Rituals is the second book in The Witches of the French Quarter Mystery series.

So different, so perfect, I want MORE!

So different, so engaging, “Red Beans and Rituals” - The Witches of the French Quarter Mysteries, Book 2 really captured my undivided attention, and held me in a world beautifully drawn, and vibrantly brought to life! Continuing the story started in book one, “Red Beans and Rituals” delves deeper into the who’s and why’s of Althea’s story, endearing me further to characters of her past - some still present in her life, and others who have crossed the veil. The plot is extremely well developed with a smooth cohesive flow that had me FULLY engaged throughout! The characters, some who charmed me, some who repelled me, performed brilliantly, executing many surprises along the way assuring my interest was riveted to their antics! I’ll hold the details close, we can’t have spoilers, but fear not, all is explained fully AND beautifully as you listen to this thrilling, mystery filled story! I will also say that the characters so richly defined and drawn come vibrantly ALIVE thanks to stunningly AUTHENTIC, emotionally on point voicing, unique to EACH, and perfectly suited to their personality! I was able to visualize them exactly as the author intended! This combination of truly gifted writing AND stellar narration made for emotionally rich, truly powerful, and COMPLETELY immersive listening! I loved every second! When all was said and done, there were some sighs, some tears and a supreme feeling of satisfaction! Five fantastic stars across all categories!

Witches and fun

Althea has been busy opening up the coven’s shop and cafe. A visitor arrives and he has a cryptic message. And then he mysteriously dies. Now suddenly there’s an investigation into his murder. Althea is determined to find out what’s really going on. Everybody combines forces to get to the truth. This was a fun paranormal story. The characters were interesting. I listened to the audiobook and the narration was enjoyable to listen to.

Fantastic Paranormal

I love this series. This audiobook is entertaining and a page turner. Meghan Kelly's talents shine in her performance. I highly recommend this book!
