Murder in a small town
Reclaimed Haven: Murder on First was my first B. A. Erickson book and I have to say I’m looking forward to reading/listening to the second in this series as well as her other stories.
Initially I thought I was listening to a hardcore murder mystery, but then it began to feel like a cozy mystery and then it shifted genres again and I found it was also a spy story. B.A. Erickson has woven multiple genres expertly into a story that takes the reader/listener on a tour of a small town through the eyes of a reporter new to the town and newspaper and a cast of quirky characters. This story kept me wondering what was coming next and had me in its clutches until the conclusion of this episode of the trilogy. Rebecca Lee’s narration brought the characters and story to life.

On Edge
The opening grabs you with the detailed vividness. I enjoyed the moments of cluelessness where I had to go back and make sure I wasn’t missing anything. Definitely an author I’ll be reading more of.

Don't read if you don't like cliffhangers.
