Rebekah

Rebekah was born into a simple household, the only daughter of a middle-class herdsman on the edge of the desert. She grew up hearing of the mighty deeds of the God of her ancestor, Noah, but never imagined she would find herself playing a pivotal role in that same God’s plan.

Then one day, a Nubian with ten camels came to her by her family’s well, asking for water. Her simple, gracious answer, catapulted her into the tents of the heir of God’s own Covenant, the Patriarch of His Chosen People, and would see her as the mother of two sons who would be the fathers of rival nations. If that weren’t enough, she was also the bearer of a cryptic prophecy from God Himself. “Two nations are within your womb, and the older shall serve the younger.”

As the prophecy’s meaning became clear over decades, Rebekah came to learn that obedience to God’s Will often carries a high price.
