Bessie was born in Saltillo, Mexico, the daughter of American Consul Lynn Franklin and heiress Butler Brayne Thornton Robinson Franklin, whose family home, Fall Hill in Virginia, was deeded to her family by King George in the late 1600s.
Bessie was raised in countries across the globe, always coming home to Fall Hill and her family heritage. A sophisticated, adventurous, and energetic woman of incredible depth, quality, and class, Bessie Turk is now in her 87th year. Widowed twice, the mother and grandmother continues to embrace life with open arms, praise God for her many blessings, and approach each day with joyful abandon. Her story is encouraging and inspirational...proof positive that life's challenges can be met and overcome with courage, tenacity, and unswerving faith in the power of God's love.
