Liked it, but didn't love it...

This is my first Deborah Bladon listen/read. I bought it on sale and it was good, but not great. I would recommend it for an easy, sexy listen but not if you're looking for a ton of depth. It is *possible* that reading other books by the author could have hooked me, as there are overlapping characters (Kayla's bff is Alexa of Alexa & Noah from "Vain"), but I doubt it.

The basics are very well laid out in the summary so I won't repeat with a recap, but this is the story of Dr. Ben Foster and Kayla Monroe. This story might have been great if we were given dual POV's but the story is told from Kayla's perspective only. The author attempted to create a sense of mystery by omitting Ben's side, but the story felt hollow and frustrating at times without knowing any of Ben's motivations, thoughts, or feelings.

Angela Starling, the narrator, was great and seamlessly navigated between the male and female perspectives.
