ABANDONED BUT NOT ALONE

RJ is an experienced astronaut. He's a veteran of several deep-space expeditions into the unknown, so he's ready for anything the universe might throw at him. Or, so he thinks. When their brand-new state-of-the-art starship suddenly begins to fail, RJ is left alone to save the mission from utter failure as the rest of the crew abandons ship. But once they're all gone, RJ finds himself alone with...something that wants to know him in ways he's not entirely sure about. I was hoping for a story about space exploration but what I got was a lot of philosophical musings about God. All about God. Not at all what I was looking for in a book about an astronaut. There were no reviews to warn me, so I am posting one now. Just don't go into this thinking it's just about space travel. I love hard science fiction. This was just not for me.
