It’s summer and vacation is on the minds of everyone in River Bend. Lynn and Dusty as sunning at the Outer Banks. Sara Margolin has taken her children to Disney World. She works in the mornings as an IT consultant bringing the back-office computer systems of the massive theme park up to date. In the afternoons she and her children enjoy the park. She meets an old college acquaintance, Quinn Templeton, and renews a friendship.

Templeton Inc. hires Sara to solve some computer issues. In the process Quinn and his son follow Sara and her children back to River Bend. Embezzlement darkens the family fun. But Quinn and Sara, much to the delight of their children, marry.

Through personal drama, hostage taking and an FBI raid, the new family soon learns that knowing Lynn and Dusty adds a new dimension.

Renee Kumor was a stay-at-home mom for several years developing a personal ethic of community service. She began writing a political opinion column for the local newspaper, but retired from writing when she announced her candidacy for local political office. After eight years as a county commissioner, she returned to non-profit service and began writing a monthly column for the newspaper on non-profit management and service issues. The setting for the River Bend Chronicles’ series reflects her early life in Ohio and her later years in western North Carolina.
