Great series

I read these books in 1980 and loved them. I still love them 41 years later. They held up very well over time.

Suspenseful

This story in three books was outstanding. I'm ready for the next instalment. hopefully there just as good!

When Everything Goes Wrong ...

Reread after many years.

This completes the story begun in Exiles of the Well of Souls. what starts as a reasonably straightforward adventure turns into a comedy of errors, but one where the slapstick just isn't funny. everything that can go wrong, does, at the worst possible moment. Couple of interesting plot twists, and a pretty expected ending.

Definitely worth it

This series has been one of the most unique series I’ve ever listened to. Very different, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The characters are well developed, the story line is well thought out, and the depth of the story is very good. It goes beyond just being a fantasy/scyfi story, but a deeper look into humanity with an alien twist.

Thoroughly enjoyed

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The details created amazing images of each hex and people that inhabited it. I look forward to discovering more about the Well World.

Excellently Written and Narrated

The fourth book in the Well World Series has another race for the downed spacecraft that can take our heroes (and their enemies) back to Obie, the miniature Well that can transform all matter to anything its user desires.
Mavra Chang is once more required to give all she has to prevent the god-machine from being used for evil by the one who trapped everyone in the previous book.
Fascinating characters with back stories that span the series and exciting situations make this a great end to this part of the Well saga. The narrator has also upped his game in doing the voices, which I really applaud.
Now….how do I get the final book, ‘The Return of Nathan Brazil’ on Audible? It’s not in their catalogue!

All the Well World novels are brilliant. There is even one out there I haven't read yet. I'm looking forward to listening all the way through. "The Sea Is Full Of Stars," was the last one I knew about. (Many of these novels have been out of print for years.) Read Midnight first and be assured if you like it, you should keep going. Jack once told me he never wrote series, just really long novels that had to be broken up into pieces. Some of the Well World books are like that. If you have just discovered this series, keep going, it is wonderful to have them back in print, and in audio versions as well. I've read most of these several times and these audio books are fresh and new to me. I think Jack would be very pleased with them. (I'm a bit biased having known the author if you can't tell... His voice went silent way too early but he left a lasting legacy to the world.)
