Awesome

Kennedy Ryan you are awesome. I loved this book so very very very much. I could not put it down. The love between Kimba & Israh was something I so enjoyed reading about. The mixture of cultures and race’s were amazing. Thanks to Eboni & Jakobi for bringing these characters to life.

A long and languid listen totally worth your time

Audio lovers will pick up this title for Jakobi’s narration but immediately fall in love with Eboni. They both lull you into the kind of story time that calls for a crackling fire, a cozy blanket, and a special beverage. With a historical-fiction vibe, Kennedy Ryan tells a tale of family, culture, identity and love through the eyes of a modern-day queen and her king. Queen Move is part love story, part erotica, part coming of age, and all delightful.

White folks who are romance connoisseurs need to add this to their library stat. In a genre dominated by white authors, heroes, and heroines, Queen Move reminds us that love is love and life happens to all of us. Listen to Ezra’s struggle to understand his mixed identity, sit with the interview Kimba does on CNN about workplace discrimination. If you aren’t already doing it, expand your horizons, lift up this author and these narrators by buying their work. Very well written

The story was very well written. The characters were well developed. It’s clear that a lot of time went into the research for this book. From the politics of Georgia, to stuttering, to the Jewish faith, to infertility, to the game of chess. I feel like with this book, I not only got a romance, but I got both a history and civics lesson. Well done Ms. Ryan.

The narration was top notch. I will happily listen to Jacobi Diem read the phone book. He was amazing, as usual. And Eboni Flowers is no slouch. They were a great team.

This is worth 10 stars! Sweetest love story I have listened to or read in a while. The writing is superb. Jakobi Diem is just "out of this world amazing!" He can read ANYTHING to me! So glad we were introduced to Eboni Flowers. She's a breath of fresh air & the perfect compliment to Jakobi. It's worth the credit!

This story absolutely captured my heart, the passion, the friendship, the love, such a beautiful and emotional audiobook. I just know that when I start a book from Kennedy, I am getting so much more than a romance and this story was such a powerful journey. Kimba and Ezra have been friends since they were babies in diapers, growing up together and shaping their lives into the adults they would one day become. My heart broke when they lost touch for years, a connection like they shared couldn’t be replicated or replaced, it was like their heart was just waiting for fate to bring them back together.⁣

Their friends to lovers romance builds in the most beautiful way, a little forbidden, a little angsty but the unending friendship they had for each other made me absolutely fall in love. Kimba is such a strong and powerful woman, standing up for what is right and what needs to be said, she is someone any woman would admire. Her struggles and heartache also made her so relatable but the way she took charge of her destiny made her one bad ass woman in my eyes. And let me not forget Ezra, an amazing father and best friend, making room in his life for the woman he knew was his forever even if that meant making painful changes and opening up with all his truths. Ezra and Kimba’s love is an epic journey, this audiobook definitely is a must listen.

Romance, Drama and Modern Sensibility

I appreciated the modern story line mixed with some fun romance and intrigue. Great narration and very easy to listen to.
