What happens when you throw a small town British Columbian punk clear across the continent onto a cruise ship that was never meant to be a cruise ship? In this memoir, Heather tells how she didn't know what she was in for when she applied to work for Commodore Cruise Line, on a ship called The Enchanted Capri. Leaving from New Orleans, it all sounded fancy enough, but that couldn't have been further from the truth.

With fifty cent crew bar beers, 250 new strangers, and at least three unfamiliar cities, this was an adventure bigger than any that Heather had experienced before. In 2000, there was a rise in fuel costs and a higher demand for the biggest and fanciest cruise lines. The Enchanted Capri's days were numbered. Unfortunately, Heather and her fellow crew mates were about to find this out at the worst possible time, in the worst possible way.

Very Personal & Interesting

Hezz truly created this art out of a very significant time of her life, and I appreciated hearing her stories. I’m a big fan of cruising and it’s a great reminder of how important it is to be respectful and kind to every person who is on the ship assisting the passengers.
The extra touches of history, and respect for those who come before us, were interesting and inspiring.
