About the Author:
Yvette G. Flores is a professor of Psychology in the Department of Chicana and Chicano Studies at U.C. Davis. A licensed clinical psychologist, she has over 30 years experience in the treatment of families, children and adolescents, particularly Latinos and African Americans, immigrants and refugees. Her work bridges Chicano/Latino studies and mental health.
