I particularly enjoyed the chapter on the Court Cards, which are often some of the most challenging cards to interpret in a reading. Nancy offers several practical exercises to help the listener connect with them more naturally. She encourages you to look at the Court Cards and notice whether they resemble people you know. She also guides you to explore them as archetypal energies. A third method she presents, useful not only for Court Cards but for any tarot card, is to view them as pure energy. In this approach, the listener assigns each Court Card a verb that captures its action or mood, making their meaning more intuitive and alive.
The heart of the book focuses on developing your intuition and psychic abilities, something Nancy explains requires practice, experimentation, and trust. She guides the listener from using their intuitive senses to receive an initial image at the start of a reading to working with her Six Principles, a framework for divination. These principles which she labels as Grounding, Intent, Form, Synchronicity, Closure, and Integration, provide a clear structure for deepening one’s practice while still allowing for personal exploration.
All of the exercises in the book were practical and easy to follow, and I often found myself pausing to try them out, reflect, or journal. Antenucci strikes a rare balance between mysticism and real-world application, making the material accessible for beginners while still offering fresh insights for experienced readers.
What I appreciated most was how empowering her approach felt. The book encourages curiosity over fear, creativity over rigid structure, and personal truth over one-size-fits-all interpretations. As a seasoned reader, I was grateful for the deeper understanding and fresh perspectives it offered. By the end, I felt more in tune with my intuitive abilities.
I highly recommend Nancy’s book to anyone seeking a tarot guide that goes beyond memorization and truly supports the development of psychic and intuitive skills.
