Topics covered:
First section is an introduction to Plato's life and times, and a very general description of the dialog we are about to discuss.
Section Two is a summary of Plato's life and the Athens he knew and loved.
Section Three is presented to give you an idea of what everyday life was like in classical Greece and in Plato's Athens.
In Section Four we'll provide an overview of The Protagoras, in which we briefly summarize the dialog and provide an appreciation of the literary skill that Plato applied to use the dialog as a discussion of a philosophical question.
Section Five is a much more detailed examination of the dialog.
In Section Six we'll provide some comments that will show why the exchange of views and the issues raised in The Protagoras remain relevant to us despite the passage of many centuries.
