Please forgive me. Do not be troubled by news of my disappearance. I apologize for resorting to this age-old tactic, but I have gone into hiding, gone underground as the saying goes, for my own safety and well-being, indeed for my own self-preservation. The aggressive and paranoid actions undertaken by the current government leave me no choice but to carry on my resistance to their policies, indeed to their entire existence, in a manner that assures me anonymity, freedom of movement, and access to food and shelter, all without endangering anyone with whom I may be seen, heard, or in some way associated. So, again, I apologize. Do not be troubled. I have not forsaken you. I am here among you. I will always be with you in spirit, even when I go unseen. Together, we will get through this uncertain period in our history. Together, we will make this a better country. Together, we will become a better people. Together, we will build a better world.
