water shifter fantasy done right

Enter a world where mermaids/ sirens rule, where kelpies and selkies and water sprites abound... with a twist. looking forward to the rest of the series. Narrated well... good story telling.

Great start to a new series

Very quickly you come to care about the characters. I love books that drag me in and make me care. Lord of action and a few new skills to the Mermaid and Selkie mythos, but for well and can be added without great disagreement. Overall a fast easy listen that leaves you wanting book 2.

Mermaids, Selkies & More

This is the first story I have heard from this author and I liked it a lot. The characters were great, the storyline was an interesting one and there was never a dull moment. I finished this story in a day and I'm excited to listen to the next one. I have to say that when it comes to Brendan and Kain that I love them both. Eviana was determined in the beginning to what she felt was necessary for her and Brendan. She came off as strong and rebellious. I know she had and needed her moments to cry but I hope it's not something she does constantly in the next story because that's the one thing I had enough of in this story. She has a lot of growing up to do. That's my only complaint but other than that it's a good romance story with a cliffhanger ending.

didn't expect it to be so good. I listen to it in one shot. couldn't stop for long. I can't wait for book two. I got this book thinking it would be just so so but it far out does what I expected. I hope she writes the next one and gets it out soon.

Selfish young mermaid

Ahhh this fmc is young a dumb.
Definitely a coming of age story series. Her decisions put all her friends and loved ones in danger.

Two warring species fall in love.
Call of the humans to the selkies
Mermaids can control selkies, humans and other shifters.

I really hope she grows up a bit she’s so naive almost to the point of me not continuing the series because she’s that annoying. Let’s she in book 2 how she gets on.

Narration is ok, voice actors voice definitely fits the age of the character.

Love a Good Mermaid Tale

Forbidden love, power, selkies, and mermaids. All the best things rolled into an excellent tale of two factions vying for control. So glad I can start book 2 right now.

Great read

I really enjoyed listening to this book. The narrator did a great job and the story is well written with great character work. I’m looking forward to the next book!!
