This one is a little harder to read

If you read/listened to The teacher and the preacher, this will be a hard read. Sven is the MMC in both and Caroline dies in this one. The MFC is essentially in competition with his 1st wife which is handled well but still riuns the first book as you now know they don't really have a happily ever after. Quick warning, the MFC is kidnapped and pretty graphically beaten. She's later spanked which after her beating seems like it might be a serious trigger but nope that trauma is totally overlooked.
