A different kind of space story, very exciting
I really like the characters, the narration was excellent. my favorite part was when they found out the notorious pirate was Kia's brother.

not bad...
I dunno, I'm pretty picky on my Science fiction. Felt like it was missing some plot or story. no real descriptions of alien races...I'm just supposed to know what a ___ is?
There's a war going on with the Host...but yet no explanation....

A fun Listen.
I had enjoyed this book. It was fun sci-fi romp. Great characters, a fun background. It was true, I like BatttleStar, Firefly, and old Star Wars and I enjoyed this book.

One of the better finishing space opera starts I’ve read in a long time
I am without a doubt in it for the long-haul looking forward to the second book now.

Started out slow but got better
This book is about 6 hours. The first 30 - 45 minutes were not very good. But, after that the story got interesting.
Over all a good listen. For those that quit on it, I suggest you push through. I think you will be rewarded.

Torn
The narration was great but the story had its good and bad moments. Underwhelming in some areas and captivating in others. This made it hard to follow or stay interested, but right when you're about to give up on it, it lures you back in. I powered through it but I'm not sure if I will read the follow up titles.
