Geoff is a liar, a cheat and a fraud, making a living as a spiritual medium by searching the dustbins of his would-be clients for clues about their lifestyle. His unethical approach gives him access to a nice little earner, till his method of predicting the fortune of others spectacularly backfires. During one of his night-time forays, he discovers the dismembered body of a young woman wrapped in a black bin-liner. It's too late to decline his moral obligation to the dead woman and in searching for her past he becomes aware of the mysterious disappearance of many more of the city's miss-able drunks and vagrants. Geoff is propelled into a life or death struggle, made more complicated when a mutating pathogen begins killing without mercy. Is the pathogen related to the missing persons or is it merely a coincidence? Geoff needs to know; he's now infected.
