Prelude to a Bar Mitzvah

Teddy Bennington is a wedding planner who works for a New York events agency, handling social functions for well-to-do clients. Her staff members have their own agendas. The event is a large reception for the daughter of a successful North Carolina businessman, a candidate for governor. The marriage satisfies physical, financial, and political conditions. The groom collapsed and died. Many wanted the groom, Benton Wilson, gone. Was it Forest Duke, the Best Man? He had means and motivation. Or was it Horace Emerson? It was rumored he had fathered Pamela Henson's baby. Heather Canning also had unusual means and reason enough. What about the stranger in the kitchen? Why was the bride ambivalent?
