Something a little different. Really enjoyed listening to it. And Jack did a great job narrating.

I dearly love all the First Mountain Man books that I have heard and read. Shame there aren't more real people like Preacher. Also thoroughly enjoyed the narrator.

Best one the series in a while. Was getting a little stagnant but this one worth the listen.

This was not as good as the ones written very recently. I DON'T recommend it.

a mountain man on the ocean

to listen to a book and trying imagine a mountain man in deer skin clothing with a beaver hat in the swamp or on the ocean was very difficult for me. this was probably one of the worst books in the series because a mountain man belongs in the mountains not in the bayou's or on the ocean. I understand the author is trying to create something different but preacher cannot always be the hero especially when there's so many great and qualified people outside of the mountains. he is great and superior to those in the Rockies because he knows the mountains You cannot take The snowman and put him in the by you of Louisiana and expect him to survive.
