Why do we pray? Why should we pray? Most people pray for things they want of need. Do we pray the right way to get God to answer our prayers? Do we pray for the correct things? It does matter how we pray and what we pray for. The problem is most of us are not aware of the proper way and correct things to pray for. I will show you how to pray the way Jesus told us to pray. I will show you the things we should pray for and the right way to pray as told by the son of God. I am a retired minister. I have spent over 60-years reading, studying teaching and praying. All that time learning how to pray, and how to teach others to pray the way Christ taught us to pray. When you know how to pray and what to pray for, you will feel like you are talking to God directly, and that he will hear your prayers. One of the best examples in the Bible of how to pray and what to pray for was Solomon. He prayed to God that God would give him the wisdom to do the things he was supposed to do. Because he asked for wisdom and not riches and power, God gave him wisdom riches and power. Another is when Jesus was in the garden, and he prayed to God to take this cup from me if it be thy will. He was asking God to take away from him the suffering he was going to have to endure, if it was God's will and not his. Don’t wait to learn what the Lord’s prayer means. It is the blueprint for our prayers. Our prayers are our communication with our Lord, our creator. The Lord's prayer is not just for kids. We teach children to pray the Lord’s prayer, but we don’t teach them what these phrases mean. We don’t have to use the exact words from the prayer. If we use the structure of the prayer and follow the meaning of the prayer, we will talk more effectively with God.
