Should mature believers praise and worship God? Should mature believers praise and worship God the way the scriptures instruct them to praise and worship God? Do mature believers praise and worship God in the bad times as well as the good times? Do mature believers desire other believers to praise and worship God? Why? Why is it important to me you praise and worship God? Why is it important to God you praise and worship God? There must be reasons. I do know this: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit desire we grow up in praise. Jesus said Father God seeks worshipers (Joh 4:24). Father God is searching for worshipers. God will find you when you worship. It's not as much about you finding God. It's more about being a worshiper then Father God will find you. This is why the Lord's presence is so intense during a powerful praise and worship service. We look around. We see people crying, kneeling, convicted, repenting, coming to God, being healed, etc. God found us as we worshiped. How do we exhibit noisy praise and bowing worship? Or, should we? There are times during praise and worship when the music is and should be noisy. Enjoy it. We should move by clapping our hands and moving our feet. Dance a little. Sometimes the praise and worship service is slow, and we are singing in deep thought. We should close our eyes and process the words we are singing. We sing about the God who created the mountains and seas and me and you. Instead of focusing on how we sound, or watching the praise team, or reading the words, we focus on what we are singing. Then we should stretch ourselves. Raise our hands. Bow. Experience our God. Open our gates and the King of Glory will come in. Each of us will praise the most what we prize the most. We can't help it. We give what we prize glory and giving glory and prizing always lead to praising. We talk about what we prize. We invest into what we prize. We spend our time with what we prize. We become excited about what we prize. We've all experienced the excitement something we prize brought to our life be it a spouse, child, grandchild, house, car, truck, hobby, or God because we all praise what we most prize. Praise and worship is our expression of how we prize our God. Scriptural praise should be fun, exciting, exuberant, fulfilling, and enjoyable. We should enjoy the music and the goose bumps. However, praise should accomplish something. Praise should be with intelligence and understanding. Intelligent Praise will change a great praise service or time of prayer into a victorious life experience. When we talk about intelligence regarding anything, we are meaning knowing about the subject, receiving instruction about, and possessing a high level of understanding on the issue in which we are engaged. When we have intelligence concerning an issue, we know how it functions, the purpose of the topic, and what it is to accomplish. When I give intelligent praise and worship, I am skillful with my praise and worship. I both celebrate my God thanking him for all he's done for me, and I am combating my enemies. Praise and worship is how and when God desires we thank him. Jesus said there is a perfected praise. I am moving into perfected praise when I give intelligent praise. Believers are in a war like it or not. However, this war is not only aimed at believers. Every person every place will be devoured and destroyed by the devil if they do not learn and activate their weapons of our warfare (1Pe 5:8). These weapons given us to use will destroy the devil's strongholds. We are to attack his strongholds and any place the enemy has fortified. Nothing attacks our enemies more than praise and worship. Our weapons will bring down every proud argument against God and all imaginations. Our weapons will capture rebels and bring them back to God. Our weapons can change people into those whose hearts' desire is obedience to Christ. Among our mighty weapons are praise and worship.
