Following the deaths of her parents, law student Annie Alsonado fears losing herself as well. Her insecurities undermine her relationship with buttoned-up classmate Dave Cohen, who can’t seem to compete with Annie’s idealized memories of an adventurous ex-boyfriend. Annie finds she can no longer hide from the present, however, when she joins Dave in trying to help Fernando Garcia — a young man whose own broken heart drives him to make a mistake that threatens to land him in prison.
