The only reason my father forced me to marry him was for more power.

My father just signed a death certificate. Whether that’s mine or his own, is still to be decided.

He was jealous that he didn’t have as much power as the head of the mafia. He craved the status and wealth that came with it. He was stuck working for him instead.

The obvious decision was to marry me off to the son, Ezra Hayes, in hopes that the union between the two families would make his wish come true.

Great story

I never normally listen to books all the way but the narrator's was the perfect people for the book and I love it soo much I listened to the entire story and loved it great story and amazing narrator's 10 out of 10 will recommend this book
