Far into the future, Dr. Chase Haller firmly believes that a black hole can be conquered. The estimates of size and power, to him, are just that, guesses. He wants to prove it can be done.
However, if it were not for the kind recue by a completely alien species, he would not have proof, even if he and his lovely mate, Melissa, did make it through.
