Sam & Jake

A little drama and a lot of romance captivated me with this story. It's my first Marti Shane book and I really enjoyed it. Sam is running to Promise Lake to grieve the end of her relationship and recharge her soul. Little did she know how it would all turn out. When Jake pulls her to safety, life is about to change. But will it be for the better? Jake is her ex's best friend and a new client for her company. Not the best candidate to fall for. But these two have chemistry. Will they be able to find love? What will happen when they leave Promise Lake? I loved this couple. Sam is hard working, smart and beautiful. Jake is attentive and caring. I loved these two together and I loved the way the entire story came together. It's an easy, slightly angsty, steamy romance. Perfect for a weekend listen.

And to make it even better, Lessa Lamb comes through with a fabulous narration. She is so talented and really connects with her characters. I thoroughly enjoyed her performance.

I really enjoyed it! This book was full of drama and romance! The narration was great and kept me entertained! The author did a great job with the character builds and plot! This was my first book by this author but definitely not my last! I look forward to reading more books in this series! Sweet Romance!

This is the first book in the Promise Lake Series. Sam and Jake's story is filled with drama, and romance. They are both interesting characters. The supporting characters are intriguing.
