I really enjoyed listening to this book. Autumn’s voice was amazing. I felt like I could really see the story as she spoke. I was drawn in from prologue. I love me a good Mafia Dark Romance book. Kept me begging for more of the story as I listened. Some parts had me on the edge of my seat. Autumn really made me love Lexi and Lucky so much! Made me want to jump into the story. Will definitely listen to again!

You’ll be hooked right away!

Honestly, without a doubt, the best masterpiece I’ve ever listened to. The twists and turns of this book had me on the edge of my seat. It was an emotional roller coaster, but in the best possible way! Absolutely amazing! Autumn Mercer really had a way of bringing these characters to life and I loved every single second of it!

Listened in one sitting, Extraordinary Narration!

I loved how quick this picked up! I am not a slow burn type of reader/listener yet, sometimes books like this don’t have the best plot. Not this one! I listened to it all in one sitting. Loved the enemies to lovers and the different take on mob/gangster novel. (I don’t want to give away spoilers but I haven’t come across a storyline like this one yet.) Definitely kept my interest and the narration!

Autumn Mercer is so incredibly talented! As I listened I was so immensely impressed by how it was only her narrating each character. Her seamless transitions to each of the characters! She really brought so much life to each yet never overdone. Lexi’s sass & sarcasm and the mob/gangster accents were perfect. I will definitely be looking for future books narrated by Autumn!

Autumn Mercer kills it AGAIN

I read along while listening normally, and honestly had to stop reading and just listen because the writing was not my favorite. When Autumn read it, it felt like an almost different story that sucked me in. Her Lexi take is perfect, her male voices make me question my sexuality as a straight woman. How this narrator isn't doing Podium or Blue Nose or Easthouse Entertainment productions is beyond me as she is becoming my all time favorite female narrator.

Ten Stars!

Wow, just wow! Is it possible to rate something 10 out of 5 stars?! I am someone who loves a good slow burn but I absolutely loved how quickly this booked jumped right in from the start and kept me hooked through the whole book! Also, the enemies to lovers was... chefs kiss**! If it wasn't for a busy life, I would have listened to this straight through without breaks!

Now to talk about Autumn, now she deserves even more stars! I'm still currently in disbelief that there was only one narrator. Autumn did a phenomenal job with each character and the transition between them all. She also has the sassy attitude down! I can't wait for my next audio book performed by her!

A Masterclass in Character Voices!

Autumn Mercer is phenomenal. The way she shifted between characters felt so seamless and organic that I often forgot it was a single narrator. Each voice had its own personality, cadence, and emotional weight never overdone, always natural. It added such depth to the story. Autumn's talent elevated the book into an experience. I’ll definitely be looking for more titles she’s narrated!!

I was hooked

From the moment it started I was compelled to finish. outstanding! I can't wait for more from the author.

Did not see that ending.

I absolutely love the flow of the book. There were certain parts that I had an idea of what might play out. But to have the story unfold with such a charismatic narrator made this book a definite 5⭐ for me.

Fun story, fantastic narration!

Lexi is a girl who decides to trust her Dad against her better judgement. What was meant to be a birthday dinner somewhere nice ends up with her facing off underworld criminal over some cards while she plays for her life. Lucky thought he was collecting a gambling debt off one of his loser clients and ends up with much more than he'd gambled on.

The hottest of one night stands results in a surprise that makes its presence known a few weeks later, and then things really pick up speed. Combine that with Lucky's dad, Dimitri, being super clucky. I think this might be the first time I've read a book where a mob boss is nagging his boys for grandkids so that he can retire and dote on them.

Autumn Mercer handled multiple characters with ease. Her lower register when she's voicing MMCs is great - not falling into any gravelly tones, but a smooth low tone that informs in no uncertain terms that the male characters are speaking. Her gangster moll voice cracked me up - the character was a stereotypical gold-digger and Autumn's voice characterisation of this was spot on, I loved it.

N Owens has written a story that wraps everything up in a way that well and truly satisfies, and the audiobook production compliments it beautifully.

Amazing Narrator

This audio was so good, Autumn Mercer did such an amazing job with the male voices that it floored me. I thought it was a Duet and I had to go back and look at the cover again just to make sure it was just one person. I was highly impressed and as always I loved the story, N. Owens always outdoes herself every time with one of her books. Listening to this audio had me on the edge of my seat.
