James Stone has led a successful life, comes from a good family, has been an excellent student and has excelled at sports. But none of his experiences have prepared him for the job he’s offered after his graduation. Twenty thousand years ago, the Earth was copied by visitors from another galaxy. They went on to build the constellation of Evigone: three great spheres of over three hundred solar systems. They populated them with ultra-aliens, collected on their journey, and with early humans from Earth. But the question is – why? Another visitor to Earth’s solar system, a tower three kilometres high within the ark of Panadawn, wants to know the answer. Afraid of a power that can build stars and planets, the Tower’s avatars choose James Stone to be their eyes. To help him, they place a small piece of their technology in his mind; he can think and act faster, understand new languages, and, to the alarm of those he meets later, read thoughts.
