Commander Mike Hanson and the crew of the Space Shuttle Aldrin have fought their way across the zombie-infested wasteland that was once America.
Finally within sight of their destination - a fortified high school in Little Rock - they find that the last mile of their journey might be the longest.
The city is teeming with swarms of the living dead and the secure community they hoped to find is surrounded by a swarm of the ravenous dead.
Desperate to find a way inside the school, Hanson stumbles onto a terrifying secret that draws him and his crew into a cataclysmic showdown with the walking dead. Salvation may be in sight for Hanson's crew, or certain doom for the last surviving humans on the planet of the dead.

Good story continuation
Liked how the story and characters progressed. Enjoy listening to Doug Cassell read the book. Only downside was the story shifting between the groups and names (last, or first, or title/rank) made it confusing which group was engaged. Looking forward to the next book and the zombie revenge. Cheers.

Needed a better narrator
This novel by a smaller publishing company I guess had to settle for a so-so narrator. His performance was better than book 1 in this series.
This is the final novel in the trilogy. But in true planet of the dead fashion it leaves with a slight cliffhanger that leaves you wanting more.
